Horoscope 2027: The Year's Big Transits and What They Mean for All 12 Rashis

One table of the year's slow-planet moves, then what each of them touches for your Moon sign. Read it as a calendar of themes that tradition gives each placement, not as a promise about your year.

In Vedic astrology, your horoscope 2027 is read mostly from three slow movers. Saturn steps into Aries in June and slips back into Pisces in October. Jupiter moves through three signs, Cancer, Leo and Virgo. Rahu and Ketu hold the Capricorn-Cancer axis all year, and two solar eclipses fall on that same axis. The fast planets change every few days or weeks and belong to the daily horoscope; the slow ones set the tone of a whole year.

This page gives the dates in one table, explains why a Vedic horoscope is read from the Moon sign, and then counts which house each slow planet occupies for all 12 rashis, with the meaning classical texts attach to that house.

Saturn's 3 June move changes who is in Sade Sati or Dhaiya for part of the year, and Sade Sati 2027 has those dates sign by sign. For Saturn's full in-and-out year read Shani Gochar 2027; for Jupiter's three windows, Guru Gochar 2027; and for what each eclipse looks like from India, Eclipses 2027.

Why a Vedic horoscope uses your Moon sign

In Vedic astrology your rashi is the sign the Moon occupied at your birth, measured in the sidereal zodiac. It is often not the same as the western sun sign you know from magazines, because the two systems measure from different starting points and because the Moon, not the Sun, is the reference. Classical gochar (transit) reading counts every planet's house from that Moon sign, which is why a yearly horoscope for "Leo" here means people born with the Moon in Simha.

If you are unsure of your rashi, a free kundli from your date, time and place of birth shows it in a few seconds.

A rule of thumb the classical texts repeat: Jupiter's transit is read as supportive in the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th houses from the Moon, while Saturn and Rahu are read as most workable in the 3rd, 6th and 11th; many panchangs still use the same rule. Other houses are not "bad"; tradition reads them as asking for more effort, patience or care.

Yearly horoscope 2027 for each Moon sign

Each note below counts the houses from the Moon sign and gives the theme tradition reads into them. Two details apply to every sign: Jupiter spends 1 to 25 January in Leo before slipping back into Cancer, and after 20 October Saturn is back in the house it held before 3 June. Your own chart, its lagna and the dasha running in 2027 decide how much of this you actually feel.

Aries (Mesha)

Saturn moves from your 12th house into your 1st on 3 June and back to the 12th on 20 October. Jupiter is in your 4th (Cancer) from 25 January to 26 June, your 5th (Leo) until 26 November, then your 6th. Rahu crosses your 10th all year. Tradition reads this as a year of taking on more personal responsibility, with Jupiter's Leo months the warmer stretch for study, children and creative work. Taurus (Vrishabha)

Saturn is in your 11th until 3 June, a house classical texts count among its best, then your 12th until 20 October. Jupiter moves through your 3rd, then your 4th from 26 June and your 5th from 26 November. Rahu is in your 9th. The first five months are traditionally the stronger stretch for gains and networks; the 12th-house months are read as a time to spend carefully and rest more. See Taurus horoscope 2027 and Taurus today.

Gemini (Mithuna)

Saturn is on your 10th house until 3 June, in your 11th until 20 October, then on the 10th again. Jupiter is in your 2nd (Cancer) for the first half, your 3rd from 26 June and your 4th from 26 November. Rahu is in your 8th, Ketu in your 2nd. Saturn on the 10th is traditionally read as heavier work and slower recognition, and its 11th-house months as the return on that work. Gemini today.

Cancer (Karka)

Jupiter is on your Moon sign from 25 January to 26 June, then in your 2nd, then your 3rd. Saturn is in your 9th, moving to your 10th from June to October. Ketu sits on your Moon sign and Rahu in your 7th all year, and the 2 August eclipse falls in Cancer. Tradition reads a year of partnerships and redefining yourself, with Jupiter in the 2nd from June the supportive stretch for family and savings. Cancer today.

Leo (Simha)

Jupiter is on your Moon sign in January and again from 26 June to 26 November, in your 12th from 25 January to 26 June and in your 2nd from 26 November. Saturn is in your 8th until 3 June, a placement tradition treats with care, then in your 9th until 20 October, and back in the 8th after that. Rahu is in your 6th, a house classical texts favour for it. On paper the middle months are the lighter stretch, with Jupiter on your sign and Saturn in the 9th. See Leo horoscope 2027 and Leo today.

Virgo (Kanya)

Saturn is in your 7th, then in your 8th from 3 June to 20 October. Jupiter moves through your 11th (Cancer), your 12th (Leo) and arrives on your Moon sign on 26 November. Rahu is in your 5th, Ketu in your 11th. The first half is traditionally read as good for friendships and gains, the middle months as slower and more inward, and Jupiter's arrival in late November as a fresh start. Virgo today.

Libra (Tula)

Saturn is in your 6th until 3 June, classically one of its best houses, then in your 7th until October. Jupiter is on your 10th (Cancer) in the first half, in your 11th (Leo) from 26 June and in your 12th from 26 November. Ketu crosses your 10th and Rahu your 4th. Work is the year's main theme, and Jupiter's 11th-house months are the traditional window for gains. Libra today.

Scorpio (Vrishchika)

Saturn is in your 5th, then in your 6th from 3 June to 20 October. Jupiter moves through your 9th (Cancer), your 10th (Leo) and your 11th from 26 November. Rahu is in your 3rd all year. With Jupiter in two of its favoured houses (the 9th and, from late November, the 11th), Rahu in the 3rd and Saturn's June-to-October months in the 6th, this reads on paper as one of the more supported years. See Scorpio horoscope 2027 and Scorpio today.

Sagittarius (Dhanu)

Saturn is in your 4th until 3 June, in your 5th until 20 October, then back in the 4th. Jupiter, your sign's lord, moves through your 8th (Cancer), your 9th (Leo) and your 10th from 26 November. Rahu is in your 2nd, Ketu in your 8th. The Leo months, with Jupiter in the 9th, are traditionally the best stretch of the year for study, travel and finding good guidance. Sagittarius today.

Capricorn (Makara)

Rahu sits on your Moon sign and Ketu in your 7th all year, and both solar eclipses fall on that axis. Saturn, your sign's lord, is in your 3rd until 3 June, a strong placement in classical texts, then in your 4th until October. Jupiter moves through your 7th (Cancer), your 8th (Leo) and your 9th from 26 November. Partnerships and how you present yourself are the year's question. Capricorn today.

Aquarius (Kumbha)

Saturn, your sign's lord, is in your 2nd, then in your 3rd from 3 June to 20 October. Jupiter moves through your 6th (Cancer), your 7th (Leo, 26 June to 26 November) and your 8th. Rahu is in your 12th, Ketu in your 6th. Jupiter's months in the 7th are the classical window for marriage talks and new partnerships, and Saturn's 3rd-house stretch rewards steady effort. Aquarius today.

Pisces (Meena)

Saturn is on your Moon sign until 3 June, in your 2nd until 20 October, then back. Jupiter, your sign's lord, is in your 5th (Cancer) for the first half, your 6th (Leo) and your 7th from 26 November. Rahu is in your 11th all year, a placement classical texts read as good for gains. Jupiter in the 5th is the traditional support for learning, children and creative work. Career horoscope 2027: who has a slow planet on the 10th

Astrologers traditionally look first at the 10th house from the Moon for work and status. In 2027 these signs have a slow planet there for part or all of the year:

  • Aries: Rahu on the 10th all year, read as ambition and unusual openings, with some restlessness.
  • Gemini: Saturn on the 10th until 3 June and again from 20 October, read as more responsibility and slower credit.
  • Cancer: Saturn on the 10th from 3 June to 20 October.
  • Libra: Jupiter on the 10th from 25 January to 26 June, with Ketu there all year.
  • Scorpio: Jupiter on the 10th from 1 to 25 January and from 26 June to 26 November.
  • Sagittarius: Jupiter arrives on the 10th on 26 November.

A transit on the 10th does not mean a new job, a promotion or a loss. Whether it shows up at work depends on the 10th house of your own birth chart and the dasha you are running. The Career and Job report reads exactly that from your chart.

What a yearly horoscope can and can't tell you

A yearly forecast by Moon sign is general by nature: it speaks to everyone born with the Moon in that sign, which is roughly one person in twelve. It cannot know your lagna, the strength of each planet in your chart or the dasha period you are in, and in classical practice those weigh more than any single transit. Two Leos can have very different years under the same sky.

Use it for what it is good at: knowing when the slow planets change sign, which areas of life tradition links to each move, and which months might suit a big decision. Treat the meanings as what Vedic tradition associates with each placement, not as outcomes. No transit reading replaces medical, legal or financial advice, and remedies people traditionally do in a hard Saturn year are optional.

If you want the year read from your own chart, your free kundli shows where each planet sits from both your Moon and your lagna, and Astroliya's AI astrologer can talk you through it. For a forecast read from your own lagna and dasha rather than your Moon sign alone, see what a chart-based 2027 report adds.

Questions people ask

Is horoscope 2027 read from the Moon sign or the sun sign?

In Vedic astrology it is read from the Moon sign, the sidereal sign the Moon was in at birth. That is usually different from the western sun sign, so check your rashi on a free kundli before reading the section for your sign.

Which is the biggest transit of 2027?

Saturn's move into Aries on 3 June matters most for Sade Sati and Dhaiya, because it changes them for several signs. But Saturn returns to Pisces on 20 October, while Jupiter ends the year in a new sign, Virgo, from 26 November.

Why does Saturn enter Aries and then go back?

Saturn turns retrograde on 9 August, and seen from Earth it drifts backwards across the boundary into Pisces on 20 October. It turns direct on 24 December and enters Aries for good on 23 February 2028, as published by PanchangBodh.

Will the 2027 eclipses affect my sign?

Tradition pays most attention to an eclipse that falls on or near your Moon sign or a key point of your own chart. Both solar eclipses fall on the Capricorn-Cancer axis, so traditional readings focus most on those two Moon signs; for everyone else they are read as background.

Is a yearly horoscope accurate for everyone with my sign?

It describes the sky that everyone with your Moon sign shares, so it can only be general. Your birth chart and running dasha decide how a transit actually plays out, which is why a reading from your own chart goes further than a sign-level forecast.
