Zodiac Bracelet by Rashi: The Stone Pairs for Each Sign and How to Choose

Astroliya stocks a two-stone zodiac bracelet for nine rashis, none yet for Aries, Virgo or Pisces, and the sign to buy for is usually your Moon sign from the kundli, not the Sun sign you read in magazines.

A zodiac bracelet is a simple idea: two stones, strung together, chosen to suit one sign of the zodiac. The hard part is not the bracelet. It is knowing which sign to buy for, because the "Leo" in a magazine column and the Simha rashi in your kundli are often two different signs. The stone pairs below are copied from Astroliya's own product listings rather than from a generic crystal chart, so what you read is what is on the string.

One honest note before the table. The meanings attached to these stones come from modern crystal lore and from the sellers who describe them, including our own listings. They are not part of classical Vedic astrology, and they are not medicine. A rashi bracelet is a personal reminder and an ornament you like wearing; it is not a planetary remedy.

The zodiac bracelet stone pairs, sign by sign

Each bracelet in the Zodiac Energy Bracelets collection is named with both a Western sign and a rashi, for example "Leo (सिंह राशि)". The stones below are exactly as each listing names them. Three signs have no bracelet at the moment, and we have left them in the table rather than quietly skip them.

SignRashiStone pair in the listingWhat the listing says the stones are for
Ariesमेष (Mesha)Not stockedNone
Taurusवृषभ (Vrishabha)Lepidolite and carnelianLepidolite for calm and emotional balance; carnelian for motivation and confidence
Geminiमिथुन (Mithuna)Green aventurine and clear quartzAventurine for growth and optimism; quartz for clarity
Cancerकर्क (Karka)Howlite and clear quartzHowlite for calmness and patience; quartz for focus
Leoसिंह (Simha)Tiger eye and clear quartzTiger eye for confidence and courage; quartz for clarity
Virgoकन्या (Kanya)Not stockedNone
Libraतुला (Tula)Lapis lazuli and howliteLapis for wisdom and clear communication; howlite for calm
Scorpioवृश्चिक (Vrishchika)Black onyx and clear quartzOnyx for protection and grounding; quartz for clarity
Sagittariusधनु (Dhanu)Smoky quartz and lapis lazuliSmoky quartz for grounding; lapis for wisdom and truth
Capricornमकर (Makara)Black onyx and clear quartzOnyx for discipline and focus under pressure; quartz for clarity
Aquariusकुंभ (Kumbha)Amethyst and lapis lazuliAmethyst for mental clarity and calm; lapis for wisdom
Piscesमीन (Meena)Not stockedNone

A few things stand out once the pairs sit side by side:

  • Scorpio and Capricorn use the same two stones. Both are black onyx with clear quartz. What differs is the sign centrepiece and the theme each listing describes: protection and transformation for Scorpio, discipline and ambition for Capricorn. If you only care about the stones, either bracelet gives you the same pair.
  • Clear quartz appears in five of the nine. Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Scorpio and Capricorn all pair a coloured stone with clear quartz, which the listings describe as an amplifier of the other stone.
  • Lapis lazuli appears in three. Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius each include it, with a different partner stone every time.
  • Howlite appears twice, in Cancer and in Libra.

So the nine bracelets are built from ten different stones, not nine unrelated designs. That is useful if you are drawn to one particular stone rather than to a sign.

Aries, Virgo and Pisces

There is no Mesha, Kanya or Meena bracelet in the store today. We are not going to suggest a substitute "for" those signs, because any such pairing would be invented for this article. If your rashi is one of the three, you can still choose a bracelet for a stone you like from the table above, knowing it is not a sign match. Or consider rudraksha, which has a longer place in Hindu practice than crystals do; the guide to rudraksha by zodiac sign covers all twelve rashis, including the bead traditionally given for Mesha, Kanya and Meena.

Sun sign or Moon sign: which zodiac bracelet is yours?

This is the question that most sign-to-stone lists skip. "Zodiac sign" means different things in different systems, and the same person can land on two or even three different signs.

  • Western Sun sign. Where the Sun was at your birth, in the tropical zodiac tied to the seasons. This is the sign most magazines, apps and gift shops mean. It depends only on your birth date.
  • Vedic Sun sign. Where the Sun was in the sidereal zodiac used in Jyotish, which now sits roughly 24 degrees behind the tropical one. For most dates this is the sign before your Western one.
  • Vedic Moon sign, or Janma Rashi. Where the Moon was at your birth, in the sidereal zodiac. In the Parashari tradition this is what "your rashi" means: it is the sign used for the daily rashifal and as the starting point for kundli matching. It needs your birth time and place, because the Moon changes sign roughly every two and a quarter days.

If you want a zodiac bracelet for your Moon sign in the Vedic sense, the third one is the one to check. If you simply identify with your Western sign and want a bracelet for it, that is a personal choice and a perfectly reasonable one. Neither is wrong; they are answering different questions.

A worked example

This is an illustration, not a real person's chart. Take someone born on 5 January.

  1. Western Sun sign: Capricorn, because the tropical Sun enters Capricorn around 22 December.
  2. Vedic Sun sign: Dhanu (Sagittarius), because the sidereal Sun enters Makara only around 14 January, the day Makar Sankranti marks.
  3. Vedic Moon sign: anything. Suppose the calculated chart puts the Moon in Vrishabha.

A gift shop would hand this person the Capricorn bracelet, black onyx with clear quartz. A Vedic reading by rashi would point to the Taurus bracelet, lepidolite with carnelian. Two quite different pairs of stones, for one birthday. Only the calculated chart settles which one is the rashi bracelet.

How to choose a rashi bracelet in four steps

  1. Find your Moon sign. Enter your date, time and place of birth on the free kundli page. The chart shows your Moon sign (rashi), your lagna (ascendant) and every planet's position, all in the sidereal zodiac. If you do not know your birth time, the Moon sign may still be clear, unless the Moon changed sign on your birth day.
  2. Check whether your rashi is stocked. Nine of the twelve are. If yours is Mesha, Kanya or Meena, see the note above.
  3. Read the stone pair, not just the sign. Look at the table and ask whether you actually like the stones and the theme. Someone with a Simha Moon who finds the golden tiger eye too loud may be happier with a stone they will really wear.
  4. Decide what the bracelet is for. A reminder of an intention, a piece of jewellery with meaning, a gift. If you are hoping it will fix a specific problem in your life, a bracelet is the wrong tool; the next section explains why.

If you want to understand what your Moon sign is doing in a given year, the daily horoscopes start from it: for example, Taurus, Leo or Scorpio. For Vrishabha, the Taurus horoscope for 2027 reads the year's big transits from that sign.

What a crystal bracelet by zodiac sign does, and doesn't, mean

It helps to be clear about where these bracelets sit, because three different ideas are often blurred together in shop descriptions.

IdeaWhere it comes fromIs a zodiac bracelet this?
Navaratna gems for the nine grahas (ruby for the Sun, pearl for the Moon and so on)Jyotish tradition, chosen from a reading of your own chartNo. These bracelets use crystals, not Navaratna gems, and Astroliya does not sell Navaratna gems.
Rudraksha by mukhi and ruling planetHindu devotional and astrological traditionNo. That is a separate practice with its own customs.
Crystals matched to signs by themeModern crystal lore and sellers' descriptionsYes. This is what a crystal bracelet by zodiac sign is.

So what is fair to say about a rashi bracelet?

  • It does mean a piece designed around the traditional character of a sign: steady Vrishabha, curious Mithuna, bold Simha, disciplined Makara. Many people find it a pleasant, wearable reminder of the qualities they are working on.
  • It does not mean a remedy for a weak planet, a dosha or a difficult dasha. No classical text assigns these crystal pairs to the rashis; the pairings are design choices.
  • It does not mean any effect on health, money or relationships has been shown. Calm, confidence and protection, as the listings put them, are beliefs people hold about the stones. Nothing here is medical, legal or financial advice, and no bracelet replaces it.

If you want to talk through what your own chart shows before choosing anything, Astroliya's AI astrologer can read your kundli in Hindi or English and explain its reasoning.

Fit, wear and care

The listings are honest about what they say and do not say, so here is the same.

  • Stretch fit. The Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Gemini listings describe a stretch elastic bracelet. The other five listings do not mention the band, so check the product page before ordering.
  • For men and women. The same four listings describe the design as unisex or suitable for both men and women.
  • Centrepiece. Every listing mentions a zodiac centrepiece; the Leo piece shows a lion, Scorpio a scorpion and Sagittarius an archer.
  • Bead size and wrist range. None of the nine listings gives a bead size in millimetres or a wrist measurement. If size matters to you, ask the store before buying.

Elastic usually wears out long before the stones do. Roll the bracelet over your hand rather than stretching it wide, take it off before perfume, sanitiser, swimming or a hot bath, and wipe it with a soft cloth. The tiger eye bracelet guide has more on wearing and caring for a stone bracelet, including which wrist people choose and why.

Which hand, which day and which metal are customs for crystals, not rules. Wear it on the wrist that is comfortable.

Choosing a zodiac bracelet as a gift

A rashi bracelet is a common gift, and the sun sign versus Moon sign question matters most here, because you are choosing for someone else.

  • If you know their rashi, because the family has their kundli or they follow their rashifal, buy for the Moon sign. That is the sign they will recognise.
  • If you only know their birthday, you know their Western sign and nothing more. It is fine to buy for that, but say so in the card, so they are not puzzled when their kundli says otherwise.
  • If their rashi is not stocked, or you are unsure, choose by stone and colour instead. The lilac lepidolite and orange carnelian of the Taurus bracelet suit a different person from the deep black onyx of the Scorpio bracelet or the Capricorn bracelet.
  • For a Leo who loves gold tones, by either system, the Leo bracelet with tiger eye and clear quartz is the obvious match.

Questions people ask

Should I buy a zodiac bracelet by sun sign or Moon sign?

In Vedic astrology, your rashi is your Moon sign, so a rashi bracelet in that sense follows the Moon. Many people still buy by their Western sun sign because that is the sign they know, and that is a personal choice. Check your Moon sign on the free kundli page first, so at least you know which one you are choosing.

Can I wear my sun-sign bracelet if my rashi is different?

Yes. There is no rule against it, and the stones do not change with the system. Just know that it is your Western sign's bracelet, not your rashi bracelet, if your kundli shows a different Moon sign.

Are the stones in a rashi bracelet the same as astrological gemstones?

No. Navaratna gems such as ruby, pearl or blue sapphire are linked to the nine grahas in Jyotish tradition and are chosen from a reading of your chart. The stones in these bracelets, such as lepidolite, howlite and tiger eye, come from crystal lore, and Astroliya does not sell Navaratna gems.

Why is there no Aries, Virgo or Pisces bracelet?

They are simply not in the range at the moment. We would rather say so than suggest an invented pairing; you can choose another bracelet for its stones, or look at rudraksha by rashi instead.

Can I wear two zodiac bracelets together?

Some people do, often one for their Moon sign and one for a sign or stone they like. There is no classical rule either way, since these are crystal pieces rather than planetary remedies. Wearing them on different wrists stops the beads knocking together and chipping.
